Carruades de Lafite, Pauillac, 12x75, 2009

£1,960.00
Sold Out

Carruades de Lafite 2009 is a full-bodied, Cabernet Sauvignon-based red wine from the Pauillac appellation of Bordeaux. Carruades de Lafite is the second wine of the Pauillac First Growth, Château Lafite Rothschild. It is created from grapes sourced from the younger vines of the vineyards, as well as from specific, older parcels that do not meet the strict criteria for inclusion in the Grand Vin. Despite being the second wine, Carruades de Lafite still upholds the reputation and quality associated with the Lafite Rothschild estate.

"Currants and blackberries on the nose. Spicy and intense undertones. Full body, with juicy fruit and a soft, very silky texture and a long, long finish. Polished and very pretty. Best Carraudes ever." James Suckling, 2012

Drinking window: 2012-2042
